not just another day.

today is the day...the day my bestie can no longer say she is younger than me!
i wish i could be there to celebrate with her...she does it in style.
she celebrates the whole month!
i wonder if sean knew that when they got married?

now she is as close to 40 as i am...teehee!
i hope you have a supercalafragalisticexpealidotious day.  (ya, i'm pretty sure i spelled that wrong!)

favorite {new} things.

i finally found this at the store.
LOVE IT!
one little squirt into my bobble and it turns plain ol' water into yummy, fruity water.
the best part, you can keep one in your purse and use it at a restaurant, or wherever.

this was part of my birthday present from my mom and dad.
a happy cupcake tea towel.

they had me at red velvet.
but when they say petite, they aren't kidding.
i may have eaten 2/3 of the box in one night.

my bestie busted out her creative side and made this for me for my birthday.
i love everything about it...
especially that she made it.
for me.
thanks T

somebody pinch me.
hubby got me this for my birthday.
is it weird to be in love with an electronic?
don't worry honey, i still love you more than the camera.

i am having so much fun getting to know this camera.
i can't believe when i'm holding it, that it is mine. mine.
this is the first picture i took on auto.

...and this is the first picture i took in manual.  (you may need to put on your sunglasses)

HAHA!!

i'm getting much better...
i am trying to just shoot in manual so that it starts to come natural to me.
still lots to learn.
but it's fun learning.

43

today is my hubby's birthday...i won't tell you how old he is.  HA!
and just to be clear, we're almost 7 years apart....so i will always be younger :)

his parents came down sunday to celebrate.
his mom asked him what he wanted for his birthday lunch.
pancakes.
so she drug down all the stuff, plus her electric skillet and made them for him.
i don't own one and probably never will.
she said she hadn't ever had a request for a birthday breakfast.
she figured he would've wanted steak.
i guess he's getting easier to please the older he gets.

i made julie's manly version brunch bake. to go with the pancakes.
all craig wanted for his birthday was pancakes and to be able to watch the kansas city chiefs.
at home.
that's it.
normally he's working when they play.
like i said...easy to please.
it would of been nice if they had won though...so close.

we made his parents eat in the living room so he could watch the game.
somebody really wanted some birthday breakfast too.
craig's parents brought him a giant k-state santa pillow....
she said they ran out of the kansas city chiefs.
...easy to please.
i'm sure come Christmas, miley will think its her's.

if your thinking i didn't get him anything for his birthday...
you would be wrong.
he got a new (to him) truck last month...
i had to give it to him early.
it's really hard to hide something that big.

happy birthday craig.
i love you so much!

thirty seven.

why does 37 sound so much worse than 36?
3 years and then i'm 40...ugh.
how did that happen?
didn't i just graduate from high school?
last week, craig proceeds to ask me what i want for my birthday and
before i could answer, walks out of the room.
umm, ok then.
so i corner him later and tell him i want a certain kind of tennis shoes.
he comes back later and says
"do you know how much those things are????"
i said..."it's my birthday, and i have wanted them since Christmas."
he then says "we can go to wichita when i get home from work to get the shoes."
i said  "ok, i have to go to wichita in the morning also to get work supplies"
he then says "oh, well why don't you just pick them up then"
i won't tell you my answer to that, but it wasn't pretty!
long story short...
we are now going to wichita, together to get the birthday shoes.
...and hopefully  definitely dinner!
