128 days.

it has been 128 days since it was 80 degrees outside.

six months.

half a year.

too.  darn.  long.

it was beyond words to be outside today.

it felt sooo good.

i spent the day raking...chasing leaves.

this is just a drop in the bucket.

i haven't even made a dent.

just this one little area filled these bags.

at least these made it go a little faster.

whoever came up with these...is a GENIUS!!!

they are awesome, despite the fact that you look like you 

have big bird hands.

speaking of hands...i got some new purple gardening gloves too.

things are starting to bud around here.

even my strawberries are showing signs of life.

i can't wait.

either can miley, she stole most of them last year.

i am so looking forward to more spring like weather around here.

getting dirty in the garden...pulling weeds, planting flowers.

who knew dandelions could actually look so pretty.

obviously i have been cooped up too long.

it's finally time to get outside.

ANOTHER ROAD TRIP!!

the last time i was at this store,

i had just been adopted.

and we had stopped in to pick up some things on my list.

it was good to be back.

next time i hope we don't have to wait so long.

i found lots of stuff, right away.

i think i'll take the green one please.

oh, and one of these too!

momma said it was too big...WHAAAAAT!!

there isn't such a thing as a dog bone being too big!

she won, and i ended up with this one.

it's ok, i guess.

hey, it's better than nothing.

actually i really like it...i drag it all over the house.

i totally taunt that cat with it.

ya know, cause i can.

next i browsed the collar section.

so many new choices for summer.

hmmm...i liked these.

but i really liked this green and brown polka-dot one too.

 such decisions!

so which one did i pick?

a girl just can't go wrong with polka-dots.

it's a proven fact.

it's just the look i was going for this spring & summer.

i took note of some of the new toys for when we come back.

momma says i have too many toys as it is.

whatever...

when we got ready to pay, momma put me in the cart and i helped myself

to the bowl of biscuits.

they really are all about customer service around here.

i rode out to the car in style.

...and said goodbye.

i really need to start working on getting my drivers license.

i could go here everyday.

i even put it in the gps, so i wouldn't get lost.

now, i just have to convince momma.

shouldn't be too hard, right?

you could all send her an email telling her i'm totally

ready & prepared.

well, i would be if i could get my paws on one of those driving handbooks.

i'm gonna go work on that right now.

oh, and before i forget...

a big happy birthday to my cousin dylan...he hit double digits.

woof, woof!!

yesterday.

yesterday it was in the 70's.

...but this is kansas.

today it's cold & rainy.

boooo!!!

now that most of the major construction is done in the office i spent most of yesterday cleaning up this.

then i inhaled this

while i was painting this

yes, i am painting over wood.

but it was gross, nasty wood.

...and soon new windows are coming.

it was so nice to have the windows open.

one, because of the beautiful weather and two, so i didn't pass out from the kilz.

even the pooch wanted to hang outside and sun herself today.

she even snuck neighbor marley over to play for a bit.

i really hope the real spring  & summer is almost here.

walmart has there isles brimming with all sorts of summer goodness.

i picked up these cute water bottles since i have turned into a

h2o-aholic.

i love it that they have a built in handle.

and i big heart the bright summer colors.

i am patiently waiting for consistent warmer weather.

maybe i could order some off the internet.

i mean, you can find just about anything on there.

 ummm....like a bacon wallet?!

i know i know...it's been a while.
i've been a very busy pup.
i've met so many new friends in the last month, and feel like i have traveled the world.
lots of car trips...it's a good thing i packed my dramamine.
it's just been crazy around here too...there have been guys  making lots of loud noises with
power tools and such.
i don't know for sure but i think i'm getting my own bedroom....it's about time!

so here's what i've been up to.

this is runey...she came to visit me while her momma got a haircut.

she was doing the happy dance cause she got to come play with me.

while we played we managed to tag team little d with lots of kisses.
then we wore ourselves out and had to take a break.

then i went to texas to visit cousin duke..

i met his new friend pete.

pete's just a baby...4 months old.
that's probably why he can't control those long legs of his....ok, actually all of him.
this is what most of the pictures of pete looked like.

he was like that energizer bunny!

he was definitely fun to play with though!
i think duke thought he was a little on the crazy side.

while we were in texas, i got to go to my very first flea market.
some of the time i walked, but then i caught a ride with duke in the buggy.

i picked out a nice green hoodie, i even wore it on st. patricks day so i wouldn't get pinched

i managed to swipe me one of dukes bones too.

this trip (pete)  wore me out...i slept a lot!

...and i don't remember eating so much take-out in my  life!

when we got back from texas we headed up to see grandma marilyn & grandpa jim in concordia.
i watched a little basketball from the best seat in the house.

before we went home, i posed for a few outdoor pictures hoping to make the concordia newspaper...
